Why Am I having Problems?

1 Peter 4:12

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

One reason we go through trials is to test our faith and the quality of it. Do you find yourself wishing you had faith as strong as someone else? I assure you, if that person has a strong and vibrant faith it didn't come easy. Just as building muscles takes time and hard work through exerices, firm faith comes from the the furance of affliction.

No one who does anything worthwhile for God has traveled an easy road. Doing great things for God requires character and that is developed by passing life's tests and staying faithful to Him through trials. The next time you encounter a trial or test determine to believe God will work it out for your good. Pass the test and trust God to promote you to new levels of power and blessing.

Today's Thought

Instead of asking why are you having trials, ask God to help you have a right response to them.
